A Few Relaxing Nights at Home

Well, so much for the – “we have nothing planned for 3 nights this week, we’ll stay at home and relax!”

  • Monday night: We visited Santa – see post from earlier in the week.
  • Tuesday night: We met some friends of ours at Catfish Haven. Jacob and Sara had a little girl 8 weeks ago (yeah about the same time the stomach bug hit us). Craig and I have had numerous conversations about going over to visit them, and we’ve been moving Darcy's baby gift around our bedroom since we moved in. We still hadn’t met their precious Darcy. So, when they called about going to dinner; we couldn’t pass it up. We met for dinner and then they came by the house for a short visit. Darcy is precious and has big beautiful blues eyes (I hate I didn't get a picture of her.)
  • Wednesday night: Our regular Thursday night group was having withdrawals since we haven't really gotten together after Thanksgiving, and we all knew we wouldn’t be able to get together over the next few weeks. So, we had a hamburger/hot dog dinner at Terry and Katie’s. We also got to see/Craig got to meet 5 week old Rebecca. We were glad Kristi and Michael were feeling up to getting the girls out of the house. Brooke had Sarah back to play with as well. And in true Craig fashion, as soon as they put the baby carrier down; he had her in his arms loving on her… all these new babies are making me nervous!
  • Thursday night: We headed to Mendenhall for Whitneys birthday dinner at her new home. We had a delicious meal, and a great visit with Craig’s parents, Whitney, Chris, Gracie, and the Williams family.

  • And in our free time this week: We have been rehearsing this for you!

  • And now onto the weekend: Craig is at the deer camp in Carthage for a weekend, while Brooke and I have a girls weekend. Brooke had her Christmas Party at school today, so she only got half a nap, which left one cranky 18 month old to deal with tonight. I let her take a good 45 minuet bath and then snuggled up with her on the couch. I got our Christmas presents wrapped and under the tree tonight, and tomorrow we are heading to the MHSAA State Finals Cheerleading Competition tomorrow to see my second cousin Kristy perform. I think we’ll spend the rest of the day in our PJ’s at home. Sunday evening, Craig and Brooke are going to the Rushing’s for a playdate with Jude, while I attend the Keyboards at Christmas at FBC Jackson with my mom. I’m really looking forward to this. Mom and I went several years ago. They have 8 pianos set up, and at times there will be 16 people playing at once – really an awesome thing to see and hear.
